JR Youth of the Year: Celebrating Leadership, Achievement, and the Bright Futures of our Club Members

By Maryln Reyes - Operations Assistant

Last week, middle school Club Members were given the opportunity to showcase their skills and leadership for Jr. Youth of the Year.

Each candidate delivered a speech about what the Boys & Girls Club meant to them. Every speech was inspiring, empowering, and truly heartfelt. This truly demonstrates the positive impact our programs have on our members. The candidates also presented portfolios highlighting their greatest accomplishments at the Club. I can confidently say that our judges were blown away by our members, the impact of our programs, and the dedicated staff who coach, support, and serve as a positive role models for our youth everyday.

I want to recognize Kristyn Copeland, Vanessa Padilla, Yadira Agredano, Jose Muñiz, Jacob Jimenez, Yahaira Flores, Jasmine Gudino, Yanira Llamocca, Valerie Aguilera, and Aldo Miranda for their significant role in this process. Thank you for dedicating your time to our members, believing in them, and helping them reach their full potential.

Thank you to Bryan Jebo & Leilani McMillan for helping these events run so smoothly.

I also want to acknowledge Frank Nunez & Paige Hawkins, this truly could not have been done without their efforts and dedication.
