This leadership development experience is a popular component of our three high school centers. Keystone is a Boys & Girls Clubs of America premier teen program sponsored by Taco Bell Foundation for Teens with a focus on leadership development through community service. Diligent participants in academics, arts and athletics programming are recruited to create a team of volunteers who can learn from each other’s strengths and work together to reach their full potential.

Torch Club is a leadership skill building opportunity during a critical stage of development. This experience is open to middle school students and gives them the opportunity to elect their own officers and work together to implement community service activities. It serves as a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can provide guidance to our middle school students as they prepare for the transition to high school.
LEADERSHIP IMPACT
Enabling youth to become responsible, caring and productive citizens is the main thrust of the Leadership and Character Development program. Opportunities are offered that provide for planning, decision-making and contributions to the Club and the Los Angeles Harbor community at large.
