BGCLAH's 2026 College Signing Day: Caps, Commitments, and a Surprise Marching Band!

In April, BGCLAH sites held College Signing Day to celebrate our seniors as they committed to their colleges and careers. After years of hard work, this day marked the start of a new chapter in their young lives.

This month, at the Wilmington Boys & Girls Club College Signing Day Event, 104 members from all of our sites walked the stage and were celebrated by their loved ones! Members got to share their excitement with their friends and family, displaying college merch and paraphernalia as they walked across a stage. Afterward, a special guest in the form of the Wilmington Middle School marching band, short flags, and drill team surprised the crowd by secretly waiting in the wings to perform for the seniors.

Aditionally, over 20 seniors at the Harbor City Teen Center and another group from Harbor Gateway who were unable to attend the Signing Day event committed to colleges like UCLA, CSUF, CSULA, CSUDH, and El Camino College!

Thank you to every senior who committed this month, and to the staff, case managers, friends, and family who supported them. Congratulations everyone!
