During the 2014/2015 school year we formed a partnership with COPA by Providence Little Company of Mary. Through the partnership, COPA worked with our school sites in Wilmington, including Fries Avenue Elementary, George de la Torre Jr. Elementary, Gulf Avenue Elementary and Harry Bridges Span School, to create opportunities for physical activity and provide healthy lifestyle education.
The school year of weekly health workshops at these schools culminated in 1st Annual Family Fun Fitness Day at the Providence Community Health Wellness and Activity Center. The day included fun physical education games, healthy cooking classes, a mural painting and other activities for Wilmington families.
