On October 4, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor celebrated our 18th annual Bids For Kids Auction and Dinner as we honored the Port of Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. Bids For Kidsis our largest fundraising event and this year raised over $250,000 during the evening.
Each year, our Board members and Club staff organize a silent and live auction dinner to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of the Club’s youth programming at 17 sites in San Pedro and Wilmington and raise funds to expand programming impact. Guests were treated to a silent auction reception overlooking the marina with live music provided by the Club’s Arts Academy jazz band. They were then seated for a sumptuous dinner and stirring live auction assisted by teen volunteers from our Keystone student leadership group.
