“It would only be as I grew older that I realized how the Club helped shape me into the person I became and gave me the fundamentals to achieve my successes and defeat my adversities.”

Now the General Counsel for the largest municipal utility in the United States, Joseph Brajevich started his journey as a club kid back when it was just the Boys Club of San Pedro. He spent most of his time playing baseball, football and basketball with his friends. Today, we are proud to have Joe on our Board of Directors, where he helps lead our organization to greatness. He also takes the time to mentor our teen members, like our 2016 Youth of the Year, Uriel Castillo.

After his years as a Club kid, Joe went on to the University of California, Los Angeles where he obtained his degree in political science and participated on the UCLA crew team. He went to Loyola Law School, where he served as the Associated Student Body President, and obtained his Law Degree. Joe now has over twenty years of legal experience and has held positions such as the Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles.
