On April 25 community leaders, friends of the Club and our youth gathered at our San Pedro Club as we officially dedicated the Yvonne Bogdanovich Middle School Center.
Yvonne has been a member of our Board since 1995 and, as she reminded our Executive Director Mike Lansing during her speech, she originally only committed to two years of service. Twenty years later Yvonne is still one of our most dedicated Board members. At the end of 2014, she completed her second two-year term as President.
The Yvonne Bogdanovich Middle School Center serves to attract and nurture youth in one of the most crucial periods of development. It includes a learning center where students receive daily homework assistance and participate in our College Bound program, games room, fine arts room and snack area where we serve daily hot supper and.. We invite you to our San Pedro Club during program hours, Mon-Fri 3:00 to 6:00 pm, to visit the center and see the impact.
In addition to our organization, Yvonne supports and has served on committees for the San Pedro Peninsula Cancer Guild, Mary Star of the Sea High School Development, Mary Star of the Sea Parish Finance, Marymount California University, Holy Trinity School, USC Scholarships Club, The Spirit of Troy Band Board, USC Women of Troy Board and Town & Gown of USC.
