The Rich Charitable Foundation is a long time scholarship and organization supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor! Joe Rich is a one time Board Member and continues to look for ways to support our members and advocate for programs. Joe, and his wife Christine, has helped hundreds of youth graduate high school and go onto college through their tremendous support of the College Bound program. We TRULY appreciate the support of Joe & Christine Rich and the Rich Charitable Foundation!!
Valero collaborates with nonprofit partners across the United States to foster improved quality of life and create measurable impact where unmet needs exist in communities. Our Wilmington Refinery partners have been a Platinum Corporate Sponsor since 2004 and have been instrumental in building our STEM programs in our Wilmington Community. They have been a great supporter of expanding our programming into Wilmington and are always looking for additional ways to support our youth. Thank you Valero for impacting the lives of so many of our Wilmington members!
Louis Smolensky has been volunteering at the Club for a little over a year. He is a retired pediatrician who loves helping other, and is generously donating his time to help our members. Louis spends two days a week helping our elementary school members during power hour. He can be found tutoring, encouraging and helping them with their homework. He always goes above and beyond for our members to make sure that they are achieving their academic best. We are so grateful for Louis and his dedication to our Club!
Yvonne Bogdanovich joined the BGCLAH Board of Directors in 1995. Since then she has served on multiple committee, has served as the past Board Chair, and is currently the co-chairing our $9 million Comprehensive Campaign! Our Executive Director, Mike Lansing, calls Yvonne our “Fairy Godmother” due to her commitment to the Club. She is one of our most generous “investors” for well over 2 decades, and works tirelessly to identify and steward more partners and opportunities for our youth. Her long term generosity and commitment to the Club has truly impacted thousands of youth throughout the San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City and Harbor Gateway regions. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor is so thankful to have Yvonne as a long time supporter, generous investor and active Board Member!
